Thursday, October 24 Apollo 50th Celebration Apollo Elementary, 2400 Viking Drive: 4:15 p.m. Doors Open 4:30 p.m. Pre-festivities and entertainment 5:00 p.m. Ceremony Fifty has never looked so good! Apollo’s 50th birthday celebration is today. Pre-festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. and the official ceremony is at 5:00 p.m. An invitation is attached. Thursday, October 24 Pages and Pages for PPE Plantation Park Elementary, 2410 Plantation Drive 3:30 p.m. Our media partners will be interested in “Pages and Pages for Plantation Park Elementary.” Haughton student Hannah Addison organized a book drive to benefit PPE and will donate more than 700 new and gently used tomes tomorrow to principal Tonya Hilburn. She will use the books for the PPE Prize Patrol as they conduct home visits based off of positive referrals. We love that our students are learning the love of philanthropy! Friday, October 25 Greenacres Middle School’s 60th Anniversary Greenacres Middle School, 2220 Airline Drive 1:15-2:45 p.m. Greenacres Middle School will celebrate 60 years of Mustang Pride and is inviting everyone to be there. A reception will be held, starting at 1:15 p.m. in the library, followed by an anniversary celebration at 1:45 p.m.
