The Bossier Chamber of Commerce is set to host a series of events discussing how current and upcoming legislative changes can and will impact the business community in Northwest Louisiana. The 2025 Public Policy Series, presented by Willis Knighton Health, will bring the top elected and appointed officials and other experts to the Bossier-Shreveport area to speak with our business community directly.
“It can be difficult as a business to keep up with all the changes that go into effect on a state and federal level,” said Lisa Johnson, President/CEO of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. “Through our Public Policy series, it’s our goal to bridge the gap. We are connecting our business community in Northwest Louisiana with the people who can best discuss our current legislative outlook and hear our community’s questions and concerns directly.”
The Bossier Chamber’s Public Policy Series was first launched in 2024 and is being brought back for a second year to continue the conversation. The first confirmed event for 2025 will be held on September 30 and will feature Senate President Cameron Henry and Speaker of the House Phillip Devillier.
Here is the current lineup for the Bossier Chamber’s Public Policy series:
September 30: State of Legislative Affairs with Senate President Cameron Henry and Speaker of the House Phillip Devillier
October 15: Louisiana State of Fiscal Landscape with the Secretary of Revenue Richard Nelson
October 20: Leaders for a Better Louisiana with Adam Knapp, CEO of Leaders for a Better Louisiana
October 27: State of Workforce & Economic Development with Secretary Susana Schowen and Tedra Cheatham, CEcD, Executive Director of LED Fast Start
This series was made possible thanks to our presenting sponsor Willis Knighton Health and supporting sponsors Barksdale Federal Credit Union, Expand Energy, and Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
“In order for Louisiana to prosper, all of Louisiana must be taken into account. The best way to make sure our needs in the northern part of the state are heard is to bring these officials here to see our businesses, our towns, our cities, our successes and our potential,” said Lisa Johnson. “That’s where YOU, our business community, come in. Show up for these critical meetings and let your voice be heard.”
